Dr. Nikolova was raised in Des Plaines and
graduated from Elk Grove High School. She has a degree in Chemistry and Spanish
from Elmhurst University, where she graduated cum laude and an honors global
scholar having completed international studies in Spain and Costa Rica. She
went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of
Optometry, graduating with clinical honors in 2020. Dr.
Nikolova has completed clinical rotations at the Illinois Eye Institute in
Chicago, the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC and
the San Diego Center for Vision Care in San Diego, CA. She has received
extensive training in providing comprehensive eye examinations and treatment of
ocular disease for patients of all ages. Her special interests include
pediatrics, contact lenses and dry eye management. Dr. Nikolova also provides
eye examinations in Spanish and Bulgarian. She enjoys spending time with her
family, crafting with her Cricut, and traveling with her husband.
